The pump in my water cooling system is making noise. Is that normal?

Water cooling systems are, by their very nature, not completely silent due to the built-in pump. However, with the chassis closed and the system in an idle state, it should only be audible at very close range – for example, if you place your ear close to the chassis or feel slight vibrations or pulses by placing your hand on it.

If, however, the pump is clearly audible from several metres away, rattles continuously or has suddenly become significantly louder, this is not normal.

In such cases, we recommend contacting our support team. We strongly advise against attempting to repair or modify the water cooling system yourself. Reason: improper interference with the water loop can lead to further damage – such as water damage, short circuits or mechanical damage to electronics or the cooling system.
