Can I upgrade the PC myself without losing the warranty?

Generally, DIY upgrades are expressly permitted by us and do not result in a loss of warranty, provided you proceed with care.

Our desktop PCs are built using standard components in a modular design – just like a custom-built PC. There are no sealed chassis or proprietary special parts that make upgrading difficult. So you can, for example, upgrade your RAM, install a new graphics card or add an extra SSD at a later date.

You may lose your warranty if damage is caused by improper maintenance procedures. This includes, for example, bent contacts, damaged connectors, short circuits, or other self-inflicted or mechanical defects.

Example: for many maintenance tasks, you first need to remove the graphics card to access the relevant slots or components. As the graphics card is very valuable, it must always be handled with the utmost care. You must then reinstall it correctly without damaging the PCI Express slot – the power cable must be connected securely, and the GPU bracket must be properly seated.

It is therefore important that you do not cause any damage when upgrading. When upgrading the CPU or graphics card, you should also check whether the power supply and cooling system are still adequate. Whenever you remove and reseat a GPU, it is always important to ensure that the power cable is plugged in really tight and securely.
