Information on battery removal The batteries inside our laptops are generally screw-mounted and can therefore be easily removal and replaced. The only exceptions are the models listed in the table below.InstructionsDisconnect the charger or AC adapter from the laptop.Unscrew and remove the bottom case (see our guidance).Disconnect the battery cable from the motherboard.Remove the screws from the battery.Carefully lift the battery out of the chassis.Safety remarksThe cable connecting the battery to the motherboard is usually pulled out in parallel to the plane of the motherboard. To avoid damage, pull directly on the connector, not on the cable. In some models, the connector is attached vertically and is therefore pulled out perpendicular to the plane of the motherboard.ExceptionsThe batteries in the following models are not screw-mounted, but can still be removed without causing damage. The principle is the same (remove the bottom cover, disconnect the battery cable from the motherboard), only the attachment method differs. The procedure is described in each model's service manuals in our download portal.ModelBattery attached bySCHENKER VIA 14 - E20removable adhesive tapeSCHENKER VIA 14 - L20removable adhesive tapeSCHENKER WORK 15 - M23removable adhesive tapeSCHENKER WORK 17 - M23removable adhesive tapeReturn and proper disposalFor proper disposal of batteries, please refer to the return instructions on this page:Return of old electrical equipment
